Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Cliny Pet, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to every interaction with the Cliny Pet website, mobile-responsive interfaces, and any related communications.
Service description
Cliny Pet is an AI-assisted veterinary triage service. It analyses the photo and free-text description you submit and returns a structured assessment that helps you decide when — and how urgently — to consult a licensed veterinarian.
Cliny Pet is not a veterinarian. The service does not provide medical diagnoses, does not prescribe medication, does not specify dosages, and does not replace in-person veterinary care. Output from the service is guidance to help you make a more informed decision about seeking professional care.
User responsibilities
When using Cliny Pet, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your pet's symptoms, age, weight, and known medical history so the triage output is grounded in reality.
- Treat the triage output as guidance, not as a clinical decision.
- Seek immediate veterinary care for any emergency — including but not limited to severe bleeding, suspected poisoning, breathing difficulty, seizures, or any condition you believe to be life-threatening — without waiting for or relying on the service.
- Not attempt to dose medication, perform invasive procedures, or administer human medicines to your pet based on Cliny Pet output alone.
- Use the service only for animals you own or are legally responsible for.
Subscription and billing
Cliny Pet operates on a paid subscription model — there is no free tier and no trial period. Subscription tiers and quotas are described on the pricing page in effect at the time of your purchase.
Payments are processed through Stripe, our single payment processor for all markets, including Türkiye. Stripe presents prices in your local currency where available and applies any tax due — for example, KDV for customers resident in Türkiye. We never receive or store your full card number; tokenised payment references are held by Stripe.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Cliny Pet does not offer voluntary or partial refunds for the remaining period; any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law are unaffected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cliny Pet is not liable for any decision you take or fail to take based on the service's output. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular medical purpose, or non-infringement.
Jurisdiction-specific liability language — including any statutory minima that cannot be excluded — is reserved for the counsel-reviewed final version of these terms.
Automated processing of veterinary triage data
Cliny Pet uses automated processing (xAI Grok vision model + a deterministic safety-override layer) to deliver the triage assessment described in the Service description above. The output significantly affects you because it informs a decision with real cost, time, and animal-welfare consequences.
Lawful basis under GDPR Article 22: By accepting these Terms of Service, you give us your explicit consent (GDPR Art 22(2)(c)) to use automated processing for veterinary triage. This is the cornerstone consent that enables the service.
Your rights with respect to the automated processing:
- Right to human intervention — Email [email protected] to request that a human review a specific triage outcome. We respond within 30 days.
- Right to express your point of view — Submit additional context about a triage outcome to the same address; this becomes part of the audit record we keep alongside the triage result.
- Right to contest the assessment — Dispute the urgency level or request a re-run with corrected context.
We publish a non-technical explanation of what the AI triage can and cannot do at Cliny Pet is not a veterinarian — and here's how it still helps. Read our Privacy Policy "Automated processing (AI triage)" section for the full Article 22 disclosure including the deterministic safety-override layer that force-upgrades six well-documented veterinary emergency patterns to the EMERGENCY urgency level regardless of model output.
If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent to the automated
processing, you may do so by deleting your account from
/settings/privacy — your withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of
processing performed before withdrawal.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from account settings.
Cliny Pet may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these terms or our Acceptable Use guidelines.
- Use the service to seek triage for wild animals, livestock, or for purposes outside the consumer-pet scope.
- Engage in fraudulent payment activity.
- Attempt to abuse the AI service in ways that put other users at risk.
On termination, the account-deletion flow described in the Privacy Policy applies (thirty-day soft delete, then permanent removal).
Governing law
Cliny Pet is subject to applicable EU consumer-protection law and the law of the user's country of residence. The final governing-law clause and the venue for any disputes are reserved for the counsel-reviewed final version of these terms.
These terms are reviewed regularly and updated whenever our practices change; the counsel-reviewed final version is forthcoming.
